Hurricane Rita Treasure Quilt

We had one additional member who had significant damage to her home with Hurricane Rita. We will be giving Gayle Moore a new, loving "treasure" since she also lost most of hers.

Gayle's favorite colors are baby blue and mint green,
so sashing and backing will be done in them.

This quilt story began somewhere over the Atlantic on September 17, 2005. It started as a tropical depression near the Turks and Caicos Islands. Over the next several days reports changed almost hourly on the strenth of the storm. Your friends from the cairn terrier network watched with horror as your state was about to be hit with its' 2nd Category 5 hurricane in less than a month. Your home was in its' path. Of course our prayers and hearts went out to you and yours. The quilt squares were all made by different people from across the nation as our way to reach out to you and show in a physical way that we care, We hope this helps you on the road to rebuilding after Rita. The quilt was assembled in the state of Wisconsin while there was snow on the ground. Best Wishes from all your friends at CPCRN.
