Actual resort, unit type (2 bedroom max) and dates are on a space available basis. This prize is for 1 week which will begin and end dependent on the specific resort (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). Major holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) will not be available as these are already booked up. There MAY be other weeks that may be booked or unavailable at this time also. The donor will work with the winner on making reservations.
Reservations must be made by 4/30/09 for use by 11/30/09, otherwise the prize is forfeit. Once made, reservations may not be changed.
Winner is responsible for adhering to all published location rules including NO PETS ALLOWED in any location, even kept in a vehicle. Winner will be responsible for any damage costs assessed. Prize is use of timeshare only; it does not include transportation or other expenses.

An original design hand knit by a CP volunteer features a center panel of a trellis cable, bordered by standard cables and a seed stitch body & sleeves. The material is a synthetic yarn so it is easy care, machine wash & dry. It measures 18" from neck to tail and 20" around the chest, and will stretch to fit a dog several inches larger in the chest. Modeled by Aggie Mae, a 17 lb cairn, who is not included, but who is available for adoption.

Miniature Hand Knitted Beaded Purse
This exquisite hand knitted and hand beaded miniature purse was knitted using size #0000 (very tiny - about paper clip width) knitting needles. It was made by a very crafty Col. Potter volunteer, Kathy B. The purse is a light cocoa brown, and the beads are iridescent brown. The chain is antiqued brass, and there is a lovely art nouveau style brass decoration on the front. The purse has a fold over closure in the front. The detail is amazing! It measures about 3" x 3", and the chain is about 7". You could hang this on the wall or display it in a case, or picture using it in a shadow box with a vintage lace hanky and some leather gloves!

A beautiful vintage glazed porcelain Cairn Terrier figurine by Beswick of England. The figurine shows a Cairn in the classic "play bow" stance with his red ball. It measures about 5"W x 4"H. The figurine is hollow with a small round opening on the bottom, and it is marked Beswick England. This piece has great details! This is a very old vintage piece, and it does have some crazing in the finish, but it's in otherwise wonderful condition!

Since inception, CP has rescued over 2,300 Cairns!!! We currently have over 100 in foster care, some of whom are available for adoption, many who are not. For each and every one, all members of Col Potter Cairn Rescue Network hope for High Cotton. Like picking cotton, our hopes do not come easy, but the rewards can be so great. Our intakes groups have to decide 'Can we help this dog?' - and sometimes the answer is 'No' - with the knowledge that this decision may be a life or death decision for THAT dog. Our foster homes bring unknown dogs into their homes, disrupting their schedule and their home dogs, only to fall in love with this little stranger - then have to hand it over to someone else - again and again. Our Adoption teams talk to a lot of people hoping they can find that 'Just Right' home for each dog - and the 'Just Right' dog for each home. It can be a hard match to find.
