This exquisite hand knitted and hand beaded miniature purse was knitted using size #0000 (very tiny - about paper clip width) knitting needles. It was made by a very crafty Col. Potter volunteer, Kathy B. The purse is a deep green color, and the beads are light green. It has a long delicate chain, and there is a colorful plaid terrier decoration on the front. The detail is amazing! It measures about 2.5" x 2.5", and the chain is about 11". You could hang this on the wall or display it in a case, or picture using it in a shadow box with a vintage lace hanky and some leather gloves! |

Eclectic Corner Dog Bed
This dog bed was made to match the Terrific Toy Box and is made of Solid Pine with a Luann bottom. It is 25" long x 20" wide x 6" deep! They will have the same dovetail front and biscuit/joined back, with a luann panel in the bottom, routed in to fit perfectly. They will sit flat on the floor just like the toy boxes. They will NOT have any decals on them.
Each bed comes with a bed pad that is a soft/fluffy light cocoa colored fully washable and dryable fleece, with a zippered back and a hang strap for easy hanging to air dry should you decide to do that.

Intarsia Art Cairn
This Intarsia Art Cairn Terrier is truly a piece of sculpture. It is hand made by a retired fellow in North Eastern Pennsylvania. It is beautifully stained and sealed with many coats of a lacquer finish to protect it for years and years to come (indoor use only). It has a hanger on the back. It measures 14" x 14". Your choice of Light or Dark Cairn. Woods used are Maple, Oak or Walnut. |
Cotton came into CP with a huge hernia that needed repair. She got her surgery, but it appeared that the sutures had broken and her bladder had dropped into the hernia area. Cotton had to go into surgery a second time and the surgeon was able to repair both hernias which he reinforced with collagen grafts, just to provide extra support. The large hernia sack hanging from Cotton's belly did NOT contain her bladder, but it was full of fluid which he drained and the sack was then removed. Once he opened her belly, he could see the bladder was in place and not involved in the hernia. Cotton apparently had a reaction to the sutures for her spay, and several lumps had formed which he has also removed. He used a different type of suture material to close her incision. She's pretty swollen right now but they tell her foster mom that the swelling should start to subside in about a month.
Fleece came in the same group as Cotton, but was in much better shape. She has wormed her way into her foster families graces by 'helping' them with the laundry. To quote her foster mom 'Well.....no pictures of the crime exist since the evidence was quickly removed but Fleece made MULTIPLE trips into the laundry room and helped herself to my coat, towels, and other assorted pieces and when she was done there she went into my daughter's bathroom and helped herself to several pieces of laundry out of the basket. She clearly made several shopping trips into these baskets!! Nothing is chewed up or destroyed - just placed strategically around the ex-pen and hallway. She even left some pieces in the laundry room so we couldn't get the door open from the garage -my first clue that something was up! '. So, if you are looking for some decorating help, it sure sounds like Fleece is the girl for you!
