Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network is proud to announce a new book "Rocky, The World's Greatest Cookbook Salesman" authored by Deirdre Ballieu and illustrated by Virginia Walker.

Most dogs, especially cairn terriers, don't make their living selling cookbooks. But then Rocky is not like most dogs! Rocky has a mission in mind as he sets off on his cookbook-selling adventures. His travels take him across the country and back as he risks tail, tooth and paw to help those in need.

While Rocky is on his journey he will meet people whose only aim is to make money with no regard to the suffering they cause. Luckily for Rocky, he will also meet friends of many species who will lend him a helping paw or a comforting hand. His adventures will teach him many lessons and as we travel with Rocky we too will learn to see the world through the eyes of a loving and caring animal.

Any animal lover understands that our pets can communicate with each other and with us. So it will come as no surprise that Rocky can talk and understand human speech, while it is only the humans he meets that don't speak dog!

The 20 beautiful illustrations (and the background of this page is a wonderful example) will help younger readers understand the story. However, the inspiring message of Rocky's tale will fill the heart and mind of any dog lover young or old -- especially those everyday heroes who live and work in the world of animal rescue.

Due to the high quality of this book, we believe the fair market value is equivalent to the purchase amount, so that any book purchases is not tax-deductible. However, all proceeds after expenses will continue to benefit our many dogs in foster care. Cross-posting or publicizing our book is greatly appreciated.

Cost: Orders within the United States are priced at $18.00 per book, which includes shipping. Canadian orders require an additional $3.00 postage per book and $4.00 PER BOOK for other foreign countries.  Books are shipped Media Mail only.
